Overview
The Physiotherapist is accountable to the Manager, Physiotherapy for;
The provision of appropriate assessment, treatment, education and health promotion services to neonates, women, children, adolescents and their families, which minimises the effects of the presenting issue, disease or disability, and maximises functional capacity.
This position is a part of the Physiotherapy Department rotating staff system and may work across all areas of the health service. (Women's Health, respiratory, Orthopaedics, Neurodevelopmental and Hospital In the Home).
Job Responsibilities:
- Provision of a comprehensive physiotherapy service to obstetric, gynaecological, paediatric and neonatal patients.
- Provision of appropriate evidence-based assessment, treatment, education and health promotion services to neonates, women, children, adolescents and their families.
- Active participation in quality management, quality assurance and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of physiotherapy services.
- Support and model the WCHN CREATE values.
