Medical Receptionist

We are currently seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part time basis. The role will initially be for approximately 15 - 20 hours per week, with the potential to develop into a more established position for the right candidate. We require a person who is available varying hours, within our working hours of 7:30am to 7:30pm (Monday-Friday) and 8:00am-1:30pm (Saturday). While the position will provide a regular roster, the ability to cover additional hours to assist with leave is an advantage.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position is for a vibrant, patient-focused front of house professional that enjoys working in a team environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for the administration of a diverse range of health care practitioners and have an understanding of the work they provide. Our patients’ needs are the highest priority, from ensuring they feel welcome upon arrival through to assisting all queries. Teamwork is highly valued within this role with an excellent standard of communication required between staff and patients.
The receptionist will report to the practice manager and will be responsible for all office administration including:
• Front desk reception
• Answer all incoming calls and handle enquiries
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• General administration
• Implementation of basic marketing and social media
• Prepare and receipt patient accounts
• Provide necessary support required by management and professional practitioners
• Ability to quickly gain a general understanding of different medical services and programs
• Ability to work professionally within a team or unsupervised
• Opening/Closing of the practice
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
