Established initially as a retailer, we have built a strong foundation and loyal customer base which has expanded to working with chefs across SE QLD within our rapidly growing wholesale operation.  We operate 7 days a week with our banner encompassing The Fish Factory Kitchen and Bistro, The Fish Factory Retail Market and Wholesale division, and The Sushi Factory.

What’s on offer?

The Fish Factory is excited to announce a job opportunity for a full-time Pick Packer (Night Shift), with shifts worked between 1:00am and 10:00am over five days and includes a Saturday shift. 

This role will operate on a five-day week with one Saturday shift, covering 45 hours per week (less breaks). 

Your role

The successful candidate will be someone who values high levels of teamwork & efficiency. Having a focus on efficient task completion, the successful candidate portrays high levels of attention to detail. You will be joining an established team of packing and warehouse crew, supervised by the Operations Supervisor.

The main responsibilities of the position are:

1. Picking, packing and labelling of fish and other seafood products for fulfilment of customer orders
2. General seafood processing
3. General warehouse duties as required.

Experience, qualifications & personal attributes 

Essential

1. Knowledge, qualification and/or proven application of food safety and hygiene standards
2. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Must be attentive to customer/client needs and determined to provide customer/client satisfaction.
4. Ability to organise, prioritise, multitask, be flexible and meet deadlines. 
5. Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
6. Strong work ethic.
