Benang presently have an opportunity for multiple Gas Service/Mains Pipe Layers & Team Leaders to join the team working across key Gas Infrastructure Projects including Common Trench, Mains Replacement/Extension and various Maintenance Activates.
Service & Mains Pipe Layer
Skills Required for the Role
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Mains Layer/Service Pipe Layer with ATCO Network experience.
- Previous pipe laying or pipe fitting experience on other infrastructure desirable.
- Ability to set out levels and work from plans/drawings.
- Experience with pipe and laser levels.
- Ability to plan daily works and be proactive.
- Ability to lead a team and/or work as part of one.
- Willingness to learn and take directions.
- Able to meet standards of an industry standard pre-employment medical, including Drug and Alcohol screen.
- Excavator, Skid Steer, and loader tickets not essential but favorable..
- Previous Water Pipe Laying experience desirable. (Water Corporation)
Required for the Role
- Current Drivers License (Manual)
- White Card
- ATCO Accreditations for Mains/Services or Common Trench works. ML1, ML2, SL1, SL2.
- Butt fusion and Electrofusion PE Welding Tickets favorable
- Excavator, Skid steer, and Loader Tickets favorable but not essential
