As a Pipe Layer with Force Recruitment, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining water mains and other types of pipelines. You will work on various construction sites, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install water mains and other underground piping systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
Perform trenching, shoring, and other preparatory work to create a safe and effective workspace.
Measure, cut, and join pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
Conduct pressure tests to ensure the integrity of installed pipelines.
Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other crew members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Troubleshoot and repair pipeline issues as they arise.
Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and local building codes.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pipe Layer, specifically with water main installations. Strong knowledge of pipe laying techniques and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency with tools and equipment used in pipe laying.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or vocational training in pipe laying or a related field.
Previous experience with municipal water systems.
WHS certification or other relevant safety training.
