Senior Registrars - Neonatal and Infant Retrieval - Melbourne AUSTRALIA
Applications are now open for full time or part time positions for 6 or 12 months with the Paediatric Infant and Perinatal Emergency Retrieval (PIPER) service commencing February or August 2024.
These positions are suitable for senior trainees with a minimum of 12 months experience in a tertiary Australian Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or equivalent. Senior trainees with PICU, Anaesthetic or Emergency experience may also be suitable and are encouraged to discuss their suitability with the Director.
PIPER Neonatal undertakes 1500 emergency neonatal retrievals per year by road or air. Training in neonatal and infant emergency transport and neonatology is provided and research is supported and encouraged.
PIPER Neonatal is collocated with the PIPER Paediatric retrieval service and the Perinatal emergency referral service within the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH). PIPER has developed and fostered excellent relationships with the Royal Women's Hospital, the RCH, Monash Children's Hopsital, Mercy Hospital for Women and Joan Kirner Hospital which allows Medical Retrieval Clinicians access to the extensive academic and clinical resources of these hospitals. For applicants interested in a broad range of neonatal training, PIPER works closely with the Melbourne NICUs to facilitate sequential appointments.
