Description:
We are looking for a Pizza Chef/Cook to join our kitchen staff and make delicious pizzas based on both traditional and modern recipes. Responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, preparing toppings and executing customers’ orders, considering special requests. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with various pizza types and be available to work during club kitchen hours: (Wed – Sun, dinner service). Additional work may be available for the right person. Ultimately, you will help increase client satisfaction by preparing high-quality pizzas.
Responsibilities
- Delight our customers with every pizza by providing consistency!
- Prepare pizzas from our traditional menu offering and based on customer changes.
- Prepare all ingredients; chop fresh vegetables, meats etc. used in pizza menu.
- Ensure uniform/consistent pizzas are cooked every time.
- Implement stock control to reduce wastage and ensure there are no shortages.
- Cook appetizers, like mozzarella sticks, pizza bites, garlic breads etc.
- Recommend new recipes to update our menus.
- Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment.
- Assist and build relationships with kitchen and bar staff.
Requirements
- Work experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a restaurant/pizza shop.
- Hands-on experience with preparing and baking pizza doughs.
- Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment and pizza ovens.
- Understanding of food hygiene.
- Good time-management skills.
- Team spirit.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings, including additional events.
- Formal education in hospitality/cooking is a plus.
