Job description

Hoyne is a global thought leader, strategic consultant and brand agency with a focus on place and property. Through our Hoyne Place Visioning®, Property Branding & Marketing services, we focus on shaping and positioning places for commercial and social success. We work with major international asset owners, developers and local councils to create recognisable landmarks and destinations across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia; from residential towers and masterplanned communities to commercial developments, new mixed-use precincts, and even cities.

We are seeking a Place Strategist with a background in urban planning, urban design, placemaking, architecture or urban geography to join our Place Strategy team. You’ll bring strong research skills, with the ability to synthesise information and establish key insights that can inform our place strategies.

Day-to-day you’ll be developing case studies, reports and presentations, as well as supporting client workshops and meetings. Continuous learning will be in your DNA and the role offers the opportunity to be part of a team of thought leaders and creative thinkers, with ongoing career progression and development. If this sounds like the role for you, get in touch.

Requirements

  • A degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Geography, or proven experience as a Place Strategist or similar at a consultancy, planning or agency environment.
  • Innovative mindset and proactive approach.
  • Ability to review and synthesise background information, undertake research, and develop insights to inform strategies.
  • Experience in report writing and the ability to articulate ideas and strategy in simple terms.
  • Experience or an enthusiasm for stakeholder engagement, including preparation of presentation material, supporting facilitation and collating engagement outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, manage time, and deliver to timeframes.
  • Experience working with Indesign and/or Keynote would be advantageous.
