About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join the Santos team. Based at our global headquarters in Brisbane and reporting to the GLNG Pipeline Manager, this position will be responsible for planning and scheduling executable and accurate Safety Critical, Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance Work Orders for the GLNG Pipelines operated assets.  The role is to align tasks, scope and resources to achieve optimal serviceability and reliability of plant and equipment.

This role will sit across several operational departments and will involve a degree of commercial interaction working in a proactive and capable team with a defined remit.
  
Key accountabilities include:  
  • Develop and deliver plans to achieve 100% asset availability, compliance to IMP and RMP and relevant sections of Australian Standard AS2885.3
  • Engage with engineering, specialised contractors and suppliers as required to seek technical support for effective development of work orders.
  • Identify work activity safety hazards and logistical issues that will be encountered and ensure all aspects of safety procedures are incorporated into job plan.
  • Ensure quality planning of work orders for field execution which includes parts, resources and documentation ensuring availability on site at execution.
  • Raise necessary MDCR’s to rectify information not correlating with RMP/IMP
  • Assist the business to drive continuous improvement on existing preventative maintenance strategies and implement best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks with purchasing and supply personnel to ensure part and equipment availability.
  • Maintaining a strong working relation with field based team, upstream planners and schedulers and engineering team.
  • Build and disseminate work schedule, ensuring with minimal rescheduled activities and in line with business cadence / timelines.
  • Achieve optimal resource utilisation via loading to agreed values and geographical campaigns.
  • Engage contractor and support strategic co-ordination for business outcomes.
  • Ensure contractor engagement and compliance with required inductions, training and qualifications including the Santos permit to work procedure.
  • Drive safety critical work order compliance via early scheduling, stakeholder comms and compliance date review.  Manage PM, CM schedule compliance.
  • Attend integrated scheduling meetings as required to ensure SIMMOPS works that utilise same contractors are optimised.
  • Attend upstream planning / scheduling meetings as required to ensure consistency of activities.
  • Manage work order backlog and implement reduction opportunities.
  

About you
Holding a qualification in a Mechanical, Instrument and/or Electrical Trade, the ideal candidate will possess substantial operational and maintenance experience, ideally within the Oil and Gas Industry and preferably associated with linear infrastructure. You will also possess experience in planning and scheduling maintenance outages or project management of minor or major oil and gas projects, as well as business process maintenance, with strong CMMS knowledge. A knowledge of oil and gas processing equipment especially high-pressure pipeline related assets is essential, as are strong and respectful written and verbal communication skills.

In addition, it is expected that the ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP or alternative computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), Prometheus or alternative scheduling software and that you will also possess advanced computer and database skills, in particular, MS Excel software.
