We are currently seeking a PLANNER (Junior) to join our team in the Projects Department, contributing to our continued growth and being a pivotal part of our achievements.

Under the guidance of the Lead Planner, you will be responsible for producing, updating and maintaining the time, resource programs and schedules for allocated projects. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project and forecast completion dates required using the prescribed standard Policies and Procedures.

OUR ROLE

  • Participate in the efforts of planning to establish the most time and cost-effective methods of execution and convert that to a working program model
  • Assist in the development of overall baseline program in accordance with the Contract. This will include Baseline program capable of acceptance, Major Milestone Indicator (MMI), Network precedence with critical path, Level 2 roll up schedules, Level 3 working control schedules for procurement, fabrication and construction and level 4 detail schedules for construction.
  • Maintain and provide information for an integrated progress reporting system including schedules, S-Curves, tables, milestones and earned value analysis.
  • Monitor actual job progress, compare to baseline and report progress against schedule.
  • Forecast the impact on schedule of proposed changes and critical path management/analysis.
  • Develop working control schedules (Levels 3&4) for day-to-day activities for area/units under control.
  • Attend management, project team and customer meetings as required.
  • Interact with discipline leads to obtain program updates

ABOUT YOU 

  • At least 12mths experience in a Project Planning/Scheduling function preferably in the Mining and/or Construction/Infrastructure industry
  • While training will be provided, we are looking for someone with a solid grasp of program operations
  • Relevant qualifications (either Trade Cert, Engineering Dip/Degree or Project Management)
  • Skills in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Projects software essential | Knowledge of PMBOK (highly desirable)
  • A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • A good communicator able to collaborate well with key stakeholders and key team members
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Able to undertake periodic site travel
