Our client, Malteurop located in North Geelong, is a global manufacturing and processing enterprise, with brand new state of the art facilities. Malteurop has operations in 14 countries and has a global commitment to providing customers with quality product using safe, environmentally and socially responsible technology and processes. The local plant and facility is a capital intensive, and a continuous manufacturing operation which processes significant volumes and services customers in the food and beverage industries in both domestic and expanding Asian export markets.
Malteurop is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic full time Planning and Production Supervisor, reporting to the Plant Manager Australia, the key responsibilities of this position are:
- Develop Production Plans detailing all schedules and tasks to meet predicted Customer demand
- Develop appropriate Malt fabrication planning in coordination between Barley procurement and Logistics planning
- Liaise with Sales and Logistics division to determine specific customer requirements and manage daily packing operations
- Plan and prioritise operations to ensure a high performance and enhanced productivity
- Monitor plant equipment operation and performance, and liaise with production and maintenance employees to ensure all workers, materials, and machinery will be available when required
- Prepare performance reports about production processes for upper management and suggests ways to improve efficiency
- Control of Inventory: daily inventory management and troubleshooting, monthly stocktake and yield reporting
To be successful in this position you will have;
- Degree in Engineering or Bioscience or a related discipline
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in resource planning including people, material and process scheduling
- Ability to troubleshoot and develop corrective action plans
- Experience in leading highly effective teams
- Advanced analytical and data reporting skills
- Advanced computer skills including excel and ERP systems. SAP advantageous
- Aptitude to anticipate and solve problems
- Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills
- Proven ability to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines
