Job description:
The Opportunity
Our Shepparton facility has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Production Planning and Purchasing Officer to join the team for a short fixed term maternity leave contract. This role will see you hit the ground running where no two days are the same.
Reporting to the Planning & Warehouse Logistics Manager, the Production Planning and Purchasing Officer will be responsible for generating achievable production plans for the factory and purchasing of raw and pack materials for the portfolio.
The Accountabilities
- Generation of a master production plan into weekly and daily production plans looking into the next 18-24 month forecast horizon
- Delivery of achievable Finite Production Schedules to production
- Ensure production plans are updated in a timely manner to avoid any potential waste on site
- Lead weekly production planning meetings with area co-ordinator
- Ensure material BOM's are accurate and raise with relevant stakeholder for inaccuracies
The Ingredients for Success
- Previous experience as a Supply Planner, Production Planner or Material Planner is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation skills and strong stakeholder management skills is essential
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a fast-paced workload with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
- Candidates that are currently studying Supply Chain or APICS are encouraged to apply
