Our client is a renowned leader in the energy industry and they're searching for an exceptional Planning and Scheduling Lead to join their dynamic team, based in Long Island Point, VIC.
As the Planning and Scheduling Lead, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and enhancing project schedules, ensuring they align with project objectives and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to timely detection of trends and deviations, guiding the team towards corrective actions.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in project schedule development, progress measurement, and change management.
- Steward the Contractor's project control organization, ensuring the adequacy of project controls tools, reports, and schedules.
- Develop and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 integrated project schedules.
- Review and endorse schedule and progress Baselines and forecasts prepared by the Contractor.
- Advise Project Controls Lead and Project Leadership Team on potential schedule issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Analyze project changes, evaluate schedule impact, and incorporate approved changes into overall schedule stewardship.
- Monitor contractor performance, analyze progress and schedule trends, and develop forecasts to support decision-making.
- Ensure contractor scheduling practices comply with project Coordination Procedures.
- Lead Contractor to develop Contract Control Schedules and Milestones.
- Participate in contract bid evaluations related to schedule.
- Maintain regular contact with the Functional Organization and promote capital efficiency on projects.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management Preferred but will also consider those with extensive Planning and Scheduling experience
- Prior oil and gas industry experience preferred
- Experience in Project Controls, Project Services and/or Planning/Scheduling
- Supervisory experience required
- Willingness to work overseas in a team environment, relocate to project site as required
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
- Advanced competency in Primavera Project Planner (P6)
- Experience with SAP/IPES, Promethius, and P6 aptitude is a must!
- Adaptability to changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
- Must have full Australian working rights to be considered for this role.
