Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Specialist to join our team in our Perth office to engage in planning & scheduling from studies through to execution that promotes reliability, efficiency, and optimum performance. This role would suit someone with strong experience in an engineering consultancy or delivery of site projects in the mining and resources sectors.
About the role
- Establish and manage the project schedule for the various studies & project phases.
- Facilitate ‘Interactive Planning Sessions’ with discipline leads, vendors and third parties
- Apply resource loading for establishing optimal staffing plans.
- Ensure the project schedule activities are coded accurately
- Establish the project critical path and continue to analyse and report throughout the project · Incorporate any required scope changes and trends into project schedule.
- Prepare project documentation related to project planning and monitoring.
- Provide reporting inputs of plan vs actual and any forecast mitigation strategies.
About You
- A successful and established career in project control, cost control and scheduling in the minerals and metals in a consulting engineering environment.
- Familiarity with cost control databases (PRISM Ecosys).
- Prior leadership, mentorship or coaching experience
- Experience working with scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project)
- A degree relevant to the role is desirable
