We are seeking an experienced Plant and Heavy Vehicle Mechanic who would like to come and join our team! Reporting into the Workshop Manager you will use your strong communication and technical skills to maintain a large fleet of plant and equipment, heavy and on-road vehicles to a high standard. You will work with the team to ensure there is minimal downtime for all construction machinery and heavy vehicles.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance on all company equipment and vehicles of varying gross weights;
Use sophisticated diagnostic technologies and technical knowledge to diagnose issues;
Provide daily reports to management about machinery status;
Work as a team to produce quality work within a given time frame; and
Promote and uphold all of the work, health and safety standards at all times.
Desired qualities we need from you:
Plant Mechanics and/or Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification;
10+ years’ experience;
Experience in metal fabrication and welding;
Current NSW driver’s license (MR or above);
Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills;
Strong technical capabilities to aid in diagnosing and rectifying mechanical issues;
Trustworthy, motivated and takes pride in their work;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
Advanced ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external clients.
