Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, Plant/Motor Mechanic (Service Technician)

The Opportunity

As a company experiencing sustained growth, we are expanding capacity in our service team in Rutherford NSW. This has created an exciting opportunity for a workshop Service Technician/ mechanical fitter to join our team in a permanent full-time position with overtime available. 

Responsibilities

• Complete service and repair work on Allquip’s water truck modules
• Servicing and repairing water truck bodies, changing out parts for new including, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components. 
• Running problem-solving tests on water truck systems and fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Commission and test Allquip water truck models to ensure working to customers specification. 
• Assist with monitoring a parts inventory within the service division. 
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist. 
• Stripping and assessing pumping water truck equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition in accordance with QA procedures.
• Rebuilding water cannons and pumping equipment in accordance with applicable standards.
• Pre-delivery checks on new trucks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a, Service Technician/Assembly Fitter/Mechanic background
• Mature age apprentice or Trade qualifications preferred but not essential. Must have previous workshop mechanic/assembly fitter experience.
• Self-starter with strong work ethics as part of a strong team.
• Willingness to learn and become multi-skilled.
• Have a high level of pride of workmanship and attention to detail.
• High standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism
