AddressPLANT OPERATOR
A leading resin and elastomer manufacturer in the South-East suburbs of Melbourne is seeking a reliable and motivated person to join our manufacturing team.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will perform a wide range of duties including production processing and manufacture, product handling and product testing. Full training is provided on-site.
You will need to demonstrate a solid work ethic and ideally have a level of knowledge in polymer manufacture/processing. Mechanical aptitude would be an advantage as tasks require the use of test and processing equipment.
The role is for variable shifts working a standard 38-hour week.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Follow prescribed safety standards and be actively involved in promoting a safe workplace culture.
- Manufacture products according to documented procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement.
- Work in a productive and efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in the plastics/elastomer industry (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Strong work and safety culture.
