Plant Operator - Construction
- Permanent Full Time Opportunity
- 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight
- Salary from $55,884.40 to $64,826.32 plus 11% Superannuation
The Opportunity
The Shire Presentation branch is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Councils assets and infrastructure. As a Plant Operator you will work in small, specialised project teams involving the operations, construction and maintenance of roads around the Shire. You will also be working across a variety of different projects and teams, should the business day-to-day operations require you to. You will also be involved in undertaking work under direct supervision & assisting in a variety of routine manual labouring and skilled tasks.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage).
- Demonstrated practical experience in the operation of a range of plant and machinery relevant to the field.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in manual labouring roles across a variety of projects in construction and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Practical understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, awareness of environmental impacts, legislation and responsibilities
- Current WHS Construction Induction White Card.
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence.
