SITE OPERATIONS MANAGER – GIRRAWEEN PLANT

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Site Operations Manager at our Girraween Plant. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Site Operations Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation of our Maintenance, production and supervision of multiple teams across various shifts, driving employees to meet maintenance, production, quality, and productivity shift targets and ensuring adherence to WHS, Food safety and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Management of the Girraween site Maintenance, production and service delivery activities to exceed targets and meet customers’ expectations
- Identifying areas of opportunity that will enable improved productivity, including but not limited to product development, equipment utilization, labour modelling and ways of working
- Facilitate, lead and/or participate in continuous improvement projects across the business as a tool to improve the way we do business
- Work with key stakeholders and operations functions to lead continuous improvement programs, waste reduction and improved service levels.
- Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and performance management to Managers and across Maintenance and production operations functions.
- Lead and ensure compliance with WHS and quality requirements to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
- To improve on the culture, focus on team development in line with core beliefs of the organisation and to reinforce the sites' “can do” attitude
- To develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including internal senior management and board members
- To ensure compliance with required Quality, GMP, HACCP, Hygiene and Food Safety policies
To be successful in this position you must possess the following:
- Relevant experience in a similar role for at least 10 years is essential but not mandatory.
- Significant leadership experience within a fast-paced, diverse and high-pressure food manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to coach and develop managers and supervisors.
- Strong systems and process background, and proven ability to lead change in these areas.
- Sound experience in complex production scheduling.
- Sound experience in budget control and cost management.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, engage, negotiate, coach effectively with all stakeholders.
