About the Position
Our Narooma team is currently growing. We are seeking people with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join our team. If you enjoy problem solving, and working across different equipment and machinery we are interested in talking to you.
We are seeking a reliable Plant Operator to join our team based at our Narooma site on a permanent Basis. You will be involved with a range of duties including stacking, docking, strapping and grading of timber products, with other tasks such as operating a bench and edger and also the potential for dispatching duties for the right candidate. This is a full-time day shift position working a condensed 4 day week, Monday to Thursday with hours of work from 6am to 4:20pm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ongoing work with timber including grading, stacking, sorting and strapping.
- Ad-hoc plant duties to ensure the smooth running of our Narooma operations.
- Inventory management
- Continually maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- You will have a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or manual handling is highly desirable.
- A positive attitude is essential.
- You must be reliable, punctual and have a focus on the quality of your work.
- Have demonstrated experience of successfully working in a team.
- We are seeking someone who is physically fit and is able manually handle various sized timber sections.
