Plant Operator (Open Spaces)
- Permanent Full Time Opportunity
- 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight (Rostered Day Off)
- Salary from $53,979.64 to $62,616.84 p.a plus 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience and Qualifications )
About the Role
The purpose of this position is to undertake a variety of operational works as part of a team in delivering routine maintenance of Council's assets and infrastructure within the Parks and Open Spaces. This position may work on various projects as business needs require and involves working under direct supervision assisting in a variety of routine manual labour and semi-skilled tasks.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate II Qualifications in relevant discipline or extensive experience relevant to the position.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively within a small team environment.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of operating small and medium plant and machinery e.g. Truck, Tractor, Large Mowing equipment, blowers, chainsaws, hedger with appropriate implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in manual labouring roles across a variety of projects in construction and maintenance.
- Required to undertake immunisation of Hepatitis and Tetanus.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence - Willingness to obtain Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) within 6 months' probation period.
