YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL ARE LOOKING FOR A PLANT OPERATOR/TRACTOR SLASHER TO JOIN THE MAINTENANCE TEAM BASED AT GOOMBUNGEE
About the position
The Plant Operator/Tractor Slasher position is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment in the Roadside Maintenance team base at Toowoomba Regional Council Goombungee Depot.
- This is a permanent full time position based at the Goombungee Depot
- The base wage rate for this position is $1,129.62 gross per week,
- plus 17.5% annual leave loading
- and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate, variable allowances are available (for example - on call, over time, wet weather).

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria
- Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience,
- Current unrestricted “MR” Driver’s Licence.
- Current WHS Certificate of Competency or VOCs for “LL” - Front-end loader (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency or BCCP03004B (or equivalent)
- WH&S Competency (White Card) for CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Substantial experience in operating related plant, including the operation of a Tractor Slasher and Front End Loader.
- Your skills will be assessed on operating a Tractor Slasher and Front End Loader at time of interview.
