SalaryAPG is currently seeking experienced Plant Operator/HC Driver for a contract role within a Government Sector based at Dubbo.
Job Details:
The role operates large/complex plant items to support the efficient construction and maintenance of road infrastructure. The role also undertakes a range of Road Worker Grade 3 duties when required.
- Perform routine and complex labouring/manual tasks, including safely operating a range of large/complex plant items under limited supervision. Plant Operator Grade 2 operates at least 2 different types of complex plant items. Plant Operator Grade 3 operates more than 2 types of complex plant items. Work may be done in a team environment or independently.
- Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refuelling and check the fluid maintenance records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items.
- Solve routine problems that arise, refer to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex issues to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
- Understand, maintain and apply knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, record management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.
This position includes Overtime and Working away from home allowances.
Requirements & Required Licenses / Tickets:
- Essential: OHS White Card Qualification, TfNSW Workers on Foot Training Course (or must be willing to obtain at own expense)
- Plant Operator Experience
- HC Truck License
- Desirable: Traffic Controller and implement traffic control plans
