ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team.

This is a hands-on, site-based role involved with the operations of several Water Treatment Plants. Working in a small team operating and maintaining a suite of water and wasteWater Treatment Plants across numerous defence bases. 

Day to day tasks include Scheduled Maintenance, backwashing filters, filling chemicals, adjusting process parameters, activating irrigation systems, sampling water and monitoring and recording data.

ABOUT YOU:

You will be an experienced, self-starter with the ability to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Water Treatment Plants.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Undertake Water Treatment Operational tasks
  • A basic understanding of pH control, coagulation/settling, filtration, and backwashing.
  • Trade Qualification as Fitter/Mechanic.
  • Experience in Air compressors Desirable.
  • The ability to undertake Scheduled and Breakdown maintenance.
  • The ability to operate a plant control system (HMI and basic setpoints).
  • The ability to use Excel for data entry, APPs for timesheeting & safety inspections, emails for communication.
  • A basic understanding of electrical systems and control (i.e. troubleshoot faulty pumps or instruments).
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to gain baseline clearance on Defence sites.
  • A Drivers Licence.
  • A willingness to work in regional NSW.
