Our nursery produces locally indigenous plants and general landscape plants for landscaping projects, working alongside our landscaping and maintenance divisions, to create sustainable landscapes that restore biodiversity and improve the health and liveability of our communities.
Australian Ecosystems seeks a Full Time Plant Propagator to join the AE nursery team.

Australian Ecosystems nursery grows several million indigenous, native and landscape plants per annum for the creation of sustainable landscapes, wetlands, and the restoration of waterways, nature, and habitat, making a positive impact on climate change. As we take on more large-scale ecological restoration projects, our nursery division is growing strongly and is an exciting and dynamic place to work.
Due to our growing portfolio of commercial, residential landscape and natural resource projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Propagator to join our organisation. Further training in propagation techniques will be provided.
Reporting to the Propagation team leader you will complete a wide range of nursery tasks. The successful candidate will be hard worker with a keen ability to learn and adapt to new tasks and skills as the nursery diversifies and grows.

The role
- Propagation of indigenous and native plant stock.
- General tasks to assist around the Nursery.
- General tasks to assist around the Nursery, including maintenance of stock and areas.
- Grow, develop, and learn best practice Nursery techniques.
About you
- Previous experience working as a propagator and/or similar role is essential
- Team player with good communication skills and flexibility to assist others where needed.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great work ethic, reliable, flexible, adaptable, and passionate about what you do.
- Fit for physical work which can be demanding at times.
- Eagerness to learn and grow your skillset.
