We provide super payment and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting solutions to workplaces all over Australia by integrating seamlessly into software platforms. About the role
In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our B2B and software partner digital product suite. You'll support the product vision and objectives by creating and maintaining an internal developer platform that streamlines software delivery, enhances the engineering experience, and accelerates application development.
Key accountabilities will include:
- DevOps Excellence: Design, implement, and maintain high-quality DevOps solutions with an emphasis on scalability, fault tolerance, and security.
- Empowering the Team: Build self-service tools and workflows that reduce risk and accelerate delivery times.
- Problem-Solving: Work closely with the development team to debug and resolve support issues, finding enduring solutions.
- Infrastructure Management: Configure servers, databases, and other services to run applications smoothly.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor platform performance, load capacity, and implement recovery strategies to ensure availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain technical standards, support documentation, and process evidence to support assurance activities.
- Technology Awareness: Stay abreast of new technologies that can address challenges or enable new ways of working.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify dependencies, promote autonomy, and contribute to the enterprise Platform Engineering and DevOps practice.
This role is available as a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane.
The salary for this position is $130,000 p.a. + 14% super + up to 12% bonus.
About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced technology company.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and monitoring.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with automating deployments and releases using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL), serverless architectures, and microservices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for improving processes and technologies.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.
