- Utilise best practice plumbing processes in the service, maintenance and repair of Council’s water and sewer infrastructure and assets. Delivering efficient, effective, and quality work outputs in a timely manner. Appling sound judgement and technical skills with an innovative approach towards problem solving.
- Inspect and report on Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) and Backflow prevention devices (BFP), developing maintenance and replacement programs that ensure ongoing operation.
- Complete required documentation for all works, ensuring compliance with internal Council requirements, legislation and obligations.
- Provide technical advice, assistance, recommendations or comment regarding suitability of designs, proposed upgrades, or other proposed plumbing works.
- Champion a positive safety culture within the team to ensure a safe workplace for our people by monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, specifications, projects, plans and any other safety or regulatory documentation.
- Coach, mentor and pass on technical knowledge to apprentices.

- Able to work well within a small team and autonomously
- Trade Certificate as a Plumber (Certificate III in Plumbing) or equivalent AND 5 years experience in a related environment
- Tradesperson Licence – Plumber
- Backflow Prevention Device accreditation – commissioning, maintaining and testing
- Statement of Attainment in Thermostatic Mixing Valves – installation, testing
- Statement of Attainment in Confined Space Entry
- Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
- Class MR Driver Licence
