Job Description
As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new projects through accurate cost estimation, tender documentation and effective negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating- Prepare detailed cost estimates (review project specifications, perform quantity take offs and analysis to ensure precise estimation of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping and related components).
- Tender Management- Lead the Tender process from initiation to submission, coordinating with stakeholders and suppliers as necessary. This includes reviewing tender documents, preparing detailed cost break downs, pricing schedules and supporting documentation for tender submissions (ensuring compliance at all times).
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination- Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate terms and ensure the selection of cost effective and reliable partners to support project execution.
- Risk Management- Conduct risk assessments for Tender opportunities and develop contingency plans to address technical, financial or schedule related risks during the tender process.
- Client Engagement & Negotiation- Respond to inquiries and negotiate tender terms, pricing adjustments and contract conditions to achieve beneficial agreements.
- Documentation and Compliance- Maintain meticulous records of tender submissions, correspondence and communications.
- Carry out site inspections as required.
Essential Criteria:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a related field
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Estimator, with a minimum of 5 year’s experience
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- Valid drivers licence and access to a registered vehicle
- Full Covid Vaccinations
- Willingness to obtain a National Criminal History Check
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant plumbing and construction regulations
- Proficiency in use of Estimating Software
