Cranbrook Workshop is one of Sydney's leading custom furniture, bespoke joinery and installation companies. Part of Robert Plumb Collective, Cranbrook Workshop's skilled team of tradespersons utilises the latest technology, including a 5 axis CNC machine, to produce an unlimited range of solid timber products, including bespoke indoor and outdoor furniture, plus complex carpentry products including stairs, balustrades, screens, doors and windows.
With some exciting projects in the pipeline, we are expanding our team in Botany, and are currently looking for a full-time Joinery Estimator to join the team.
About the role ...
Working closely with the Director and senior members of the workshop team, the Joinery Estimator will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate costings and estimates for all projects. Responsibilities include:
- Management of the estimate/costing process, including evaluation, analysis, preparation, and submission of accurate project estimates and documentation.
- Proven ability to interpret and evaluate architectural plans and drawings for the purposes of estimation.
- Understand workshop production schedules.
- Sourcing and management of all suppliers,
- Incorporate effective project management principles across all aspects of the role.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers plus develop strong relationships with internal peers across the organisation.
- Continuously develop knowledge of new building principles, methods of construction, and innovation in the industry.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong proficiency in mathematical concepts and calculations.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solution focussed problem-solving ability.
- Organised, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all actions.
- Experience in a similar estimating role, in woodworking, cabinet making or joinery.
- Proficient in Office 365 (Office/Excel/Outlook), plus industry based project management and estimating software, online databases, forms, apps. etc.
- Qualifications in quantity surveying or construction management beneficial.
- Drivers licence
