About the Opportunity
The Teacher –Plumbing provides high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students to:
- support student success in Plumbing courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways
- ensure BHI compliance requirements are met.
The Teacher – Plumbing is one of several positions in the Plumbing unit of the The Faculty of Trades, Technology & Transport. The position reports to the Manager - Plumbing and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of the BHI at all levels.
The Faculty of Trades, Technology & Transport delivers VET, qualifications in a number of discipline areas. These qualifications are linked to both internal and external pathways with BHI’s VET qualifications and university partners. Industry-focused yet student-centric, the qualifications gained at BHI are unique to the VET sector as rewarding and engaging courses of study that emphasise career needs and workplace requirement
Skills and Qualifications
The Qualifications and Expertise required for the Teacher –Plumbing role are:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is essential
- Relevant vocational qualifications in Certificate IV in Plumbing
- AQF 5 or higher teaching qualifications including a supervised teaching practice is preferred
