The Role
The Toll Group is constantly evolving, and investing heavily in its future growth plans in transport, logistics and supply chain. We are growing and our dynamic and fast paced Groceries division has a great opportunity for 2x PMTransport Supervisors to join our Minchinbury distribution site for one of Tolls prestigious accounts. These are genuine Temp to Perm opportunities. You will be responsible for all deliveries within greater Sydney, working in a high functioning team. This is fulltime Sun-Wed 4pm-4am shift, 4 days on- 4 days off. You must have a great attitude and drive to exceed. Offering supportive management and opportunity for a great career. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective running of all transport related activities for pick-ups and deliveries
- Plan for resources each day ensuring there are enough to ensure all activities are covered
- Schedule the deliveries for each day including trucks and drivers to ensure all delivery and pickup requirements are met for the customer
- Maintain effective communication between all stakeholders to ensure any all delivery related information and issues can be addressed
- Monitor drivers progress against schedules, discuss with drivers any issues on a daily basis and collaborate with customer to ensure targets are met
- Ensure safety is first at all times on site and beyond to ensure every person engaged in the supply chain is free from risk and harm
- Assist and provide solutions to all stakeholders with any requirements or issues that need resolving
- Ensure COR and OHS is adhered to
Skills & Experience
- Experience in similar role in corporate environment in Transport and Distribution desirable
- Sound knowledge of Transport planning, allocation, and optimisation
- Chian of Responsibility experience/knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to identify and remedy operational inefficiencies and service problems
- Would consider someone with little exp who has outstanding attitude and wants to learn transport
