Our client is seeking to engage a Policy Reform Specialist on a contract for 5 months.
Our client is in need of an experienced individual with:
- Policy expertise (development and/or reform work within either Commonwealth and/or State Government Departments)
- Experience in development and drafting of New Policy Proposal (NPP) experience, including being able to work with a range of stakeholders on complex policy matters to distil issues, articulate inefficiencies and propose improvements while considering risk (this may include working alongside legal specialists where issues may require both policy and legislative reform)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Timeline management skills
- Ability to work autonomously to drive a cross-agency piece of Policy Reform across multiple areas, each with complex issues to resolve.
- Experience with legislative reform in a government setting (preferably Commonwealth) would also be highly beneficial
- Policy experience within Government setting (can work through complex policy matters to identify issues and options for improvement through Policy Reform).
- Experience working as part of multidisciplinary team to distil complex policy issues and identify reform options that may span across multiple areas (e.g., policy and legislative reform).
- Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and be a team player and able to work collaboratively
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in working with government organisations
- Minimum 5years' experience in similar roles.
- Successful applicant will be required to have minimum BASELINE security clearance prior to commencement.
