About the opportunity

Are you a skilled and qualified Pool Attendant with practical lifeguard experience, or are you willing to undergo training and become qualified? Council has temporary part-time opportunities, as well as multiple casual positions available from September 2024 to March 2025.

Join our Aquatics team to provide lifeguard duties, first aid, and resuscitation services at Council's swimming pools. In this role, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring a safe environment for colleagues and patrons by adhering to all relevant legislation and Council WHS protocols and policies. Your responsibilities will include constant vigilance to ensure the highest level of safety for pool users through supervision, intervention, preventative actions, and rescues.

Additionally, you will undertake required aquatic facility duties such as documenting incidents, checking and replenishing first aid supplies, and performing general maintenance and cleaning. You'll also assist with the safe operation of small plant equipment and the maintenance of pools, amenities, grounds, and gardens. During off-peak hours, you will help process General Admission entries through the Point-of-Sale system. Remuneration:

 $29.05 - $33.63 per hour plus superannuation (Casuals will also receive 25% loading)
