About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Portuguese Translator to come join our exciting team. You will add value translating a variety of material including digital magazine articles, marketing campaigns from English to Portuguese. You will work closely with Chief Commercial Officer and other Executive team members and provide high standard of service to our clients.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
• Direct client contact may be required.
• Ensure quality is at a consistent high level.
• Ensure version control to have language questionnaire to fully match language links.
• Translate assigned material from English into Portuguese, adapt translations according to market specific needs, and proof translations in designed or published material.
• Maintain consistent use of terminology through use and further development of a language glossary.
• Adapt material for individual markets according to a standard of legal, regulatory, and marketing specifics.
To be successful in this role you will have
• Portuguese speaker with verbal and written proficiency in English and native-level proficiency in Portuguese.
• Translation certification and Understanding of Horse racing/Sports industry.
• Five years of experience in translating written material from English into Portuguese
• Experience in editing and proofreading Portuguese material.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Understanding and ability to replicate differences between Portuguese -speaking markets.
