All these roles vary slightly and are suited for people with previous experience working with cattle. They are open to individuals and couples. Listed below are very brief job descriptions with the locations they are in.
Dalby: For a highly successful backgrounding enterprise in the Dalby area. In this role you will be working in a team of people and will be performing all duties with the cattle and using some machinery. Duties will include weighing, processing, maintaining machinery and trough feeding cattle. Cattle are fed in rosters rotated by staff members; you won’t be working every weekend. Excellent married accommodation is available on site. This property is run as a low stress handling enterprise and will suit people who know how to handle cattle quietly.
Charters Towers, Clermont and Alpha: Station Hands
I am recruiting Station Hands to join crews of staff on cattle breeding stations in the Charters Towers, Clermont and Alpha areas. In these roles you will be working closely with the staff and the owners doing all jobs on the station. You will be involved in a breeding program of very high performing cattle. Mustering is done with Choppers bikes and horses. Good couples or single accommodation and rations are provided.
STATION HANDS, Bauhinia area
In this role you will be working with current manager. All mustering is done with Horses and 2-wheel motorbike. This position includes all station duties, some previous station skills would be preferred. Work is available for a couple accommodation included 3-bedroom house.
