The Digital Executive role at Initiative is responsible for negotiating, placing and maintaining buys across all channels on behalf of their clients. Digital Executives must work collaboratively with other disciplines of Strategy, Communications Design and Client Advice & Management.

In this position you are focused on strengthening and consolidating your buying skills and beginning to develop your implementation planning skills. You have a solid understanding of the media marketplace, market dynamics and audience trends, utilising this skill set to ensure best practice investment that delivers client results.

The position requires a strong aptitude for buying and the ability to multi-task. A high level of attention to detail, organisation, pride in your work and the ability to work under pressure is required. An Investment Partnerships Executive will always exhibit a collaborative and fair demeanour with media partners to honour the Initiative culture and service commitments (Media Partner Promises) we declare in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responds to client requests and supports the team on all media investment needs
  • Develops a good understanding of their clients’ business and needs, as well as that of their core competitors
  • Assists the Managers/Directors in building campaign brief responses
  • Ensures delivery of all campaign KPIs, understanding the impact on the client’s business
  • Demonstrates ownership of the buying and booking process for allocated clients across all media (place, confirm, monitor), following an approved media plan and buying brief
  • Understands the ad-server platform and able to pull reports, identify tag/creative issues and troubleshoot (with the help of Ad Ops).
  • Manage tagging process with Ad Operations including development of a trafficking plan, communication with Ad Ops, media partners and trade desk.
  • Post campaign reporting ownership, gathering reporting data from various media partners, trade desk and platforms
  • Manages the loading of all relevant media bookings
  • Manages added value and promotional executions, including analysis of value and proper documentation to internal team
  • Monitors buys weekly based on audience delivery data to insure in campaign delivery of all KPIs across all channels
  • Manages budget control of approved media campaigns with accuracy including invoicing, proforma checking and account queries
  • Monitors market conditions/changes, immediately communicating and offering solutions to market challenges as they arise

Who you Are

  • Tenure guideline: 1-2 years of media agency experience; preferably as an Investment Partnerships Associate
  • Displays solid knowledge and understanding of Australian media marketplace including the role of each media, understanding key media companies and their ability to deliver on campaign requirements and the role of media agencies
  • Competent user across all core investment media systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Able to work as part of a team in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
