About the Department of Education

About the Role
The position reports to a Principal cluster group and consults with the Principal Advisor, PBL (Region).
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
* Provide information and advice to the Principal Advisor, PBL (Region) and Assistant Regional Directors in their supervision of cluster schools, to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision, particularly the aspects related to school environment, student support and the development of appropriate student behaviour, which in turn contribute to quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Play a support role in delivering the vision of the department to improve the educational outcomes of students in State Schools by facilitating and supporting the training, planning and effective implementation of PBL at the school level.
* Lead and support a network of school clusters, and network with other PBL coordinators in operationalising the development, implementation and evaluation of the PBL initiative at the school level.
* Work with school clusters to collect and analyse using the Schoolwide Evaluation Tool (SET), Effective Behaviour Support (EBS), and Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ) and develop data driven school- based action plans, as per the regional PBL data collection and submission schedule.
* Train school personnel and support school teams in Practical Functional Behaviour Assessment (P-FBA).
