About Us
Join the Land Management Group, within the SoilsWest consortium, spearheading soil-related research and outreach initiatives at Murdoch University. Our Research projects receive support from prestigious organisations such as ACIAR, GRDC, and SoilCRC, with a strong focus on collaborations involving postgraduate students.
The Role
We are currently seeking a versatile Research Coordinator with a keen interest in translational research for soil management. You will assist in managing national projects across WA, SA, Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland, and NSW, focusing on the WA research component.
The role involves multidisciplinary research to enhance soil productivity and health using novel soil amendments, innovative sensors, crop-soil modelling, and economic analysis. You will provide leadership to long-term experiments in WA, NSW, VIC, and QLD, demonstrating a commitment to FAIR principles for large datasets. Strong skills in project management, soils research, and effective communication with stakeholders are essential. Join us in making a significant impact on soil research.
What you'll bring to this role
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in soil management, agronomy, or crop science.
- Proven project management expertise.
- Effective communication with researchers, farmer groups and farmers.
- Demonstrated excellence in high-quality independent research.
- Strong negotiation skills, reliability, attention to detail, and proficiency in statistical analysis.
