We now have an opportunity for a passionate and experienced or early career Researcher to join our team within the College of Science and Engineering as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Sexual Selection in adaptation to Climate Change.
- Full-time; fixed term for two years
- Academic Level A $91,844 - $98,283 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits
- Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas.
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging researcher to support the key deliverables of the Sex is important in adaptation to environmental change project.
You will also be required to lead multigenerational laboratory experiments at the Marine and Aquaculture Research Facility (MARFU) including conducting multigenerational mosquitofish experiments, statistical analysis of data, and the development, publication and dissemination of research findings and quality academic publications.

- Possession of a PhD qualification or equivalent in a relevant ecology or evolution discipline with a demonstrated experience in live animal experimental research.
- Evidence of research ability, including innovation, creativity and timely completion of tasks.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced experience in statistical analysis and proficiency in the use of R statistical software.
- Demonstrated publishing record in quality peer-reviewed journals, particularly as a lead author.
- Experience in planning and coordinating live animal experiments and experience in working with fish, especially mosquitofish are desirable.
