Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Analyst for an initial 6 month contract in their Leederville office.

Location: Leederville, WA
Type: Temporary casual contract (no leave entitlements – casual loading included in rate)
Rate: Up to $60 per hour plus Super
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to meet business requirements.
2. Design and implement data models and data transformation processes in Power BI to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Power BI reports and data pipelines.
4. Perform data analysis to provide regular reports.
5. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and data sources.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data visualization requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
7. Ensure business performance reports are managed and maintained and prepared accordingly for reporting requirements.
8. Undertakes admin for projects and processes as required, which may include preparing reports, guidelines, procedures, statistics, policies, presentations and providing recommendations.
9. Perform general administration tasks including continual monitoring of day-to-day administrative functions to ensure the team is operating smoothly including the arrangement of conferences / meetings / functions and any associated activities on behalf of the wider team.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
2. Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and experience with data transformation using Power Query.
3. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns and measures in Power BI.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
5. Experience working with large datasets and optimizing performance in Power BI.
6. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.
7. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders across different departments.
8. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
