Where you’ll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG) and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.

About The Role
The Enterprise Data Warehouse for Analysis, Reporting and Decision support (EDWARD) will be the ‘single source of truth’ for the business information required to underpin the Ministry of Health’s System Manager role including purchasing, performance support, performance management, funding, planning, internal reporting, public reporting, and research.
The Power Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for design, build and deploy reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to facilitate NSWHEALTH data analysis for patient care and funding across the entire state of NSW.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server BI Stack including Power Query, Apache Spark, Power BI, and DAX.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with database fundamentals such as object orientated and relational database design.
- Extensive experience with writing SQL queries and developing Stored Procedure or View tables to support operational reports.
- Demonstrated experience working within a large, complex health provider organisation with numerous stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience testing complex operational systems which consume large amounts of data.
- Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure, Devops and ETL process.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to document complex issues in a simple manner for clinical, data and IT stakeholders to understand.
