Dynamic and highly regarded boutique specialist firm is seeking a capable PR Senior Account Manager / PR Account Director to join their collaborative team on a part-time basis 3 or 4 days per week (flexible). A critical role with a huge amount of scope supporting the Executive Director in providing high-quality communication and PR services to clients.
You will lead the day-to-day work on accounts, and key facets of this role include strong media relations skills, including creating strategic plans and implementing campaigns. You will assist on all levels of account work and play a critical role in coaching and developing junior staff and will guide them in delivering great client service.
The purpose of the role of PR Account Director is to provide agency leadership and direction on a portfolio of retainer accounts and deliver strategy and tactical support on others in the firm’s portfolio. This role will also be responsible for the new business pipeline of the firm; marketing and its outreach activities as well as a range of financial and HR accountabilities.
Within this role, the Account Director will be responsible for managing the senior and junior team members, spanning from Account Coordinator, Account Executive and Account Manager roles within the firm across retainer accounts and internal projects.
You will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Communication, Marketing or similar
Minimum 5-8 year’s PR experience ideally working in an agency
Proven experience working in an agency and / or in-house with exposure to financial services / corporate clients
Proven people management experience
Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills
Highly developed written communication skills and competence with juggling workloads
Proven client relationship building skills and a track record as a trusted adviser capable of managing multi-stakeholder communication, leading key client account teams
Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, can-do approach with a strong customer service focus and work ethic
Knowledge of the Australian corporate and / or financial services sector, Australian politics, regulation, society and media
Great media relations and content creation skills, and B2B, corporate or financial experience would be highly regarded
