Freelancer.com is on the hunt for a PR Coordinator to join the wider Marketing & Communications team. You will work in conjunction with the Sr. Marketing & Communications Manager and the global marketing team.
In the PR Coordinator role, you will support all aspect of public relations, external communications, media relations, events, award submissions and media material development. We are looking for someone who is creative and has an entrepreneurial mindset. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has worked in an agency or in-house at a brand who wants to get global brand exposure.
While no day is the same, your key responsibilities in this role include:
- Support media material development, including press releases, briefing documents, op-eds and commentary opportunities
- Support and contribute to Freelancer's 2024 communications plan
- Lead internal creative brainstorms and creative workshops
- Create and manage social media content for Freelancer.com
- Liaise with journalists on media stories, virtual and in-person catch ups
- Maintain an up-to-date press list of journalists, influencers and content creators
- Research latest trends and propose ideas
- Weekly reporting and media monitoring
- Support with award and event research

Qualifications:
- A degree in communications, PR, marketing, journalism or similar fields
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Great analytical and reporting skills
- Reads the news and is up to date on current trends
