Practice Nurse Required - Shenton Avenue Medical Centre & Currambine Skin and Mole Clinic
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse on a Full Time basis at our Clinic located in Currambine. you would be working between our two practices, Shenton Avenue Medical Centre & Currambine Skin and Mole Clinic
Start Date: ASAP
Hours Required (Can be Flexible)
Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
or
Monday - 8:30am - 4:30pm
The Role
- We are looking for a Nurse with long term goals in our specialised skin cancer clinic and general practice with a passion for practice nursing.

- You are skilled at remaining calm in highly tense situations and have the ability to resolve matters pragmatically.

This rare opportunity offers you the diversity to work in our specialised skin cancer clinic aswell as in our general practice, located at the same site. You are required to provide quality care to a diverse mix of patients through;
Skin cancer clinic
- Assisting our highly qualified GP's with skin procedures
- Sterilisation of equipment
- Triage
- Removal of sutures and wound care
- Stock management
- Managing reminders and recalls
General Practice
- Chronic Disease Management including Care Plans & Health Assessments
- Immunisations & Vaccinations
- ECG's & Spirometry
- Wound care/dressing
- Daily co-ordination of the treatment room, stock control and medical equipment maintenance
- Implementing and practicing infection control
- Identifying & contributing to the development of our patient educational needs.
Essential Criteria:
- Current unrestricted Nurses Registration with AHPRA
- Current CPR certification
- Experience as a Practice Nurse or a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Proficiency with IT systems & their use
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Caring & collaborative approach to patient care
- Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
