Location: Clarkson/ Ocean Reef/ Currambine/Two Rocks
Nursing - General Medical & Surgical
Part time/Casual Position
The practice nurse is responsible for, however not limited to:
Managing and leading nursing team
Rostering
Triage
Excision and procedure assistance
Administration of childhood immunisations
Administration of travel immunisations
Wound Care Management
Ear Syringing
Patient reminders/recalls
Sterilization of medical equipment
Chronic Disease Management & Health Assessments
Maintaining policies and procedures relevant to nursing, including cold chain and infection control
Abide by the latest accreditation standards
Other duties as required
About you:
Have a warm and reassuring approach towards patients.
Energetic and enthusiastic about nursing in General Practice and have a good sense of humour.
Ability to be methodical, organised and prioritise tasks.
Ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with doctors and nurses.
Interested in upskilling and expanding your scope of practice.
Looking for a long-term nursing career in General Practice.
The successful candidate/s will have:
Current AHPRA Registration
Registered Nurse
Qualified Nurse Immuniser
Completed Ear syringing course
Familiar with products such as e.g. Best Practice, HotDoc
