The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse passionate about delivering excellent patient care and want to be a part of a progressive healthcare team? Bupa is actively recruiting for a part time Practice Nurse to join our dedicated team in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

The heart of the role  

We’re looking for experienced Registered Nurses with a passion for General Practice to build on their previous experience and be part of a growing health community, where a holistic and dedicated approach to comprehensive patient care continues to be our priority.

In this role you will:

•Manage and comply with relevant Infection Prevention & Control Guidelines 

•Have primary responsibility for cold chain management

•Be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices 

•Maintain accurate documentation and manage recall/reminder systems, data and clinical software

•Manage inventory and ordering of medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.

•Deliver continuous quality improvement activities and initiatives through the review of systems and procedures to ensure efficient and accessible care

•Provide top-notch patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, infusions, and health assessments.

•Assist in chronic disease management and deliver patient education.

•Collaborate seamlessly with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

What will you bring? 

•Current RN registration, Division 1 with APHRA

•Previous experience in general practice or primary care is highly preferred.

•Strong communication skills with patient-focused approach.

•Proficiency in performing general Practice Nurse duties, including immunizations, procedure assistance, wound care, and stock checking.

•Nurse immuniser qualified

•Experience with all types of Care Plans and Health Assessments, showcasing leadership in chronic disease management processes.

•Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. 

•Experience with Best Practice software or similar is an advantage.
