ROLE
The Preparedness and Disruption Management (PDM) team develops and coordinates policy and governance across all aspects of the ASIS business including planning for Preparedness and Disruption Management comprising of: emergency management, incident response,business continuity, and contingency planning impacting on ASIS. Preparedness and Disruption Management is an essential element of ASIS risk management and underpins the Service’s ability to recover after a disruption, whether in crisis, conflict or other disruptions, whatever they may be.
The role requires a team player with an understanding of risk and the ability to provide robust advice on risks related to Preparedness and Disruption Management into actionable advice for ASIS senior decision makers and branch/region leadership. You will be a person who enjoys working with stakeholders across ASIS, team members and individually on projects. You will be able to meet tight deadlines and work to support ASIS priorities, including contingency planning for the evolving complex geostrategic environment ASIS operates in.

The following is an overview of key responsibilities and tasks:
- Provide guidance and advice to ensure Preparedness and Disruption Management across the organisation is integrated into ASIS’s planning framework.
- Assist in the development of the Service’s Disruption Management preparations for contigency planning for the evolving complex geostrategic environment, as well as a range of other potential disruptions.
- Support ASIS’s timely, comprehensive and coordinated response to disruptive events through planning, as well as outreach to operational and enabling areas.
- Ensure lessons are learned and incorporated into future planning, testing and exercises for crisis contingency planning and other disruptions.

- Excellent communication skills, including being able to clearly communicate in writing and in person your own objectives and incorporate genuine consultation into all aspects of your work.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The following education, qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded:
- Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results.
- Excellent planning, coordination and delivery skills.
- The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and to tailor your message to your audience both in writing and verbally.
- Experience in a similar business continuity, risk management and/or crisis contingency planning will be well regarded but is not essential.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must be Australian citizens.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain the highest-level security clearance.
