We are certified to ISO9001 and we are seeking an experienced Prepress Operator to join our team, in a full-time capacity.
As a Prepress Operator you will be required to pre-flight and prepare client supplied files for print. This includes an understanding of printing processes, impositions and finishing techniques such as foil stamping, spot varnishing and embossing.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) is a must and other key duties include the following;
- Maintain file systems and ensure barcodes are to GS1 standard
- Setup and process variable data
- Manipulate, set and compose text and graphics into suitable format for printing
- Platemaking, setup and execution of plates
- Communicate effectively with clients
On the job training in any areas needed will be provided for the right applicant.
You must be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, have a keen eye for detail, meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure.
Please note, this is NOT a design position. We are looking for someone with a background in Prepress who has experience in the label print industry.
