Access theAbout the roleThe purpose of this role is to demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating syphilis prevention in the context of a public health response and for the provision of specialist nursing advice, consultation, leadership and education to inter-professional team members as relevant to the specific context of the role. The focus is on complex cases for vulnerable patients in priority populations, including pregnant women/people and their sexual partners, women of reproductive age, heterosexual and non-gay identifying men who have sex with men.The role will:
- Coordinate patient centred care across the patient journey.
- Strengthen partnerships with other government and non-government agencies providing support and clinical care to priority populations.
- Improve patient outcomes through the delivery of evidence-based care.
- Facilitate systems improvement - providing a leadership role within the organisations and act as an agent of change.
