About the Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Press Operator is responsible for the operation of the press in line with voestalpine Railway Systems Australia production requirements. Duties include:
• Setting and operating press
• Completing precision mechanical measurements
• Interpreting technical drawings for component specifications
• Assisting in other areas of production as required
• Following and complying with all service quality and safety standards, procedures and regulations
About You
To be successful in the Press Operator position with the voestalpine Railway Systems team, you will need:
• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant
• Experience working on steel press machinery (highly advantageous).
• Experience working within the steel/engineering/rail industries (highly advantageous).
• Ability to read technical engineering drawings and work from these.
• Experience with operating Overhead Cranes (desirable).
• Cert II in Engineering (desirable).
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Be a team player and assist in other areas of the production team as required.
• Willing and able to complete and pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing.
